This game was my favorite RPG for a very long time. I first played it on SNES, then on GBA and the best version on PS Vita (as far as i know!).
A very deep adventure that you need to analyze jobs, explore MANY dungeons. I think it was the first game that NPCs together have stories linked alltogether.. also the characters are charming and all of them have something to tell.
The bosses are quite a challenge as well!

Re: Final Fantasy V
This is hands down my favorite game in the Final Fantasy series! It's super underrated IMO, but it did originally only came out on the Super Famicom. I've only played it via Anthology, but I'm sure the PS Vita version is better. I own the original version too, but I haven't got around to playing it yet. It's definitely a must play IMO.

It's so underrated in virtually all the other RPGs in the series, and yet it offers so much depth and spirit. I like the strategy, the story and characters. They are really well crafted.Ravenfreak wrote: Thu Mar 06, 2025 10:44 pm This is hands down my favorite game in the Final Fantasy series! I finally played it for the first time on PS1 I think or at least on the GBA remaster. I really did love it, felt different but still good and the Big Bridge section is always a timeless favorite.

I wouldn’t call the game underrated, I’d say overlooked is the proper term. The few people that did play the game praise it, it’s just that not enough people played it.Ravenfreak wrote: Thu Mar 06, 2025 10:44 pm This is hands down my favorite game in the Final Fantasy series! Also, the Vita version is an unofficial port of the ugly version that was on mobile phones 10 years ago. I’d recommend the Pixel Remaster as the best version.

Yikes yeah I'll avoid the Vita version then lol. I still have Anthology but I'm thinking about selling it since I own the Pixel Remaster and a copy of the original Super Famicom release too.Grungie wrote: Tue May 26, 2026 2:00 amI wouldn’t call the game underrated, I’d say overlooked is the proper term.
