skies of arcadia

A rather amazing RPG game that does something Final Fantasy never did, air battles with airships. A rather amazing thing that was fun that led to an even more fun game.

This is yet another game I need to play lol. I'd like to own a physical copy but I'm sure it's expensive. At least I could burn it to a disc and play it on my Dreamcast lol.

Gamecube version is a bit better, but yeah I would move it up on your list. It's so fun and unique, more RPGs need air ship battles.

Skies of Arcadia was straight up adventure. Flying through the skies, exploring islands, and fighting ships battle were things that I had not seen in other RPGs.

I find it hard to believe they actually had airship battles.

In my opinion, I think the airship battle is what really made Skies of Arcadia stand out because a few RPGs had that kind of combat

Those airship battles were pure genius, and it's crazy that it took so long for other games to catch on. The sequel, Skies of Arcadia Legends, is still beloved by many.

Afraid that is just a port onto the Gamecube, game series has no sequel yet :(

The skies of Arcadia Legends prove to so many people how timeless their mechanics can be. The sequel was well done and it further increases the love the fans had for the original titles.
