Majority of campaigns can gain some benefit by having rival adventuring parties. They serve as a rivals, and sometimes as enemies. That actually introduces the element of uncertainty and thrilling action in the process of storytelling.

My DM has for his campaign, it kind of gets annoying after a while lol.
