Would you make an RPG?
If you had a chance to make an RPG, would you make it and if so be what?
Re: Would you make an RPG?
I'd jump at the chance to develop an RPG. It would be interesting to make one but I lack the technical knowledge.

I would love to make one, but would need a team as its too large for me to handle it.

Nah I think making RPGs (especially video game RPGs) is difficult. Not only do you need to come up with a good story, cool characters and a plot, you also need to program how your characters are going to level up, and how their stats are going to change each time they level up. Not only that but you need to program enemy logic, a bit too much for me at least.

It's an extreme task that takes up lots of time for sure.Ravenfreak wrote: Fri Nov 21, 2025 12:12 am Nah I think making RPGs (especially video game RPGs) is difficult. Although it is true that creating a RPG is a lot of work, the tools that are available really make much of the heavy lifting easy. The difference is quality and re-playability. Between a little Indie studio game versus a AAA shining star that takes like 300 people with ten years of active development.Ravenfreak wrote: Fri Nov 21, 2025 12:12 am Nah I think making RPGs (especially video game RPGs) is difficult.
