For games you replayed several times, what was one thing you always made sure you did?

I always made sure to add a ton of points to the point card in Legend of Legaia before taking on Che Delilas. It's easier for me to beat him using the point card lol. At least I did this after discovering the point card exists, I didn't know about it the first time I played the game since I didn't have a strategy guide or a computer to look up cheats. (I didn't make it far in my first playthrough...)

After playing an RPG once, I made mental notes when I need to always stock up on something or do a bit grinding to make upcoming parts easier.
