Lost to a boss

You just lost to a boss after a grueling exchange battle, do you try again or give it a rest? Or even completely give up and move to a different game?

Yeah now I know lol, Mallow can heal but he's definitely no cleric like Toadstool is! I'll definitely have her in my party when I play the remaster on the Switch lol. Also changing your strategy can help in general too.
