Have you ever had the chance to play this Sega Master System game? It's a rougelike dungeon crawler that was released in the early 90's. The Master System didn't do great here in the states, but if you live in Europe or even Brazil it did much better. It was also released on the Game Gear, which is essentially a portable version of the Master System that can handle more colors on screen. I know someone on Sonic Retro was making a split disassembly of this game, but I don't think she's worked on it in years. Here's some gameplay footage of the game.

Dragon Crystal is an entertaining game and that can be attributed to its roguelike gameplay and how challenging it is.

Never knew about it, gives me a good dragon quest vibes though.
