The development of characters is rather complex in RPGs. From their backstory to personality traits, every detail counts. Making your characters relatable is not that easy but it makes the game even more enjoyable. What constitutes a memorable character to you?

Try to come up with a good story with good support characters to make complex characters all the better.

I like crafting their backstories with plenty of arcs which is awesome for the growth of the RPG characters.

Got to make sure their arcs mesh well, nothing worse than random characters.

I'll admit this is one of my weaknesses. I can come up with a character, figure out what their abilities are but when it comes to a back story I tend to have issues.

I like creating characters that feel like actual humans, not just names with powers. I’ll start with small things like maybe the character hates rain or talks too much when nervous, then I’d build from there. I don’t rush the backstory, it grows as I play. Sometimes I even got surprised with how they turn out to be. 😂
