I have so many memories of those and the fights never lacked the nolstagic feeling and they were simple in terms of mechanics.

I think I know where my old came cartridge is, I should pull it out to see if the battery is still good.

You should! If it's gen 1, there's a good chance it still works fine. My yellow needs a new battery but it's the only Gen 1 game that I need to replace the battery. I randomly got the idea to go live last night and play Pokemon Blue on livestream! I'm in the middle of catching all 151 Pokemon in one cartridge! I played for over 3 hours last night too. I didn't really have anyone watching it much but I had fun playing it. (I did get someone to watch for 39 minutes so that was cool.) I was really trying to do this in one go but I started streaming way too late. :S So here's the first part!

My Machop only solo run was done in Pokemon Red. I can't find my legit copy of Red, so I played it via my reproduction cart I got from Temu.

That would be cool to do. It's been ages since I've played Gen 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and even 8 lol. I play Gen 1 the most even though Gen 3 is my favorite.
