Anyone here play any pathfinder? It's kind of the cousin to DnD.

Re: Pathfinder
I've played Pathfinder, and it's cousin, Starfinder. Both are pretty solid games that use familiar d20 mechanics.

Re: Pathfinder
I never heard of starfinder. I do want to give pathfinder a go, even if its math heavy.

Re: Pathfinder
I liked Starfinder. It's a sci-fi/space opera variant of the classic High Fantasy genre for Pathfinder. If you've played D&D, Pathfinder is pretty easy to pick up.

I've seen it in stores and it did catch my eye. But I've never played this game before.

I remember seeing just the core rulebook at my local V-stock once. I thought the book looked cool lol.Demonskeith wrote: Mon Jul 21, 2025 6:05 amDo you recall what you saw? Re: Pathfinder
They do have some pretty good covers, I know my DM will splurge on the same book if it has a better cover.Ravenfreak wrote: Mon Jul 21, 2025 10:56 pmI remember seeing just the core rulebook at my local V-stock once. Re: Pathfinder
I have played a few sessions, and I like it. The added depth and customization compared to some versions of DnD is better. The rules can be pretty difficult to comprehend but once you understand it, the game is quite interesting.
