Best style for an RPG

Pixel art, 2D, 2.5D or 3D type graphics, what do you find that works best for an RPG game's appearance.

I personally prefer pixel art the most. I love when modern games take that approach, Cassette beasts is probably my favorite modern RPG that uses pixel art.

Old school pixel art or the newer 2.5D style is very nice. I think its best for a lot of classics while FF 7 and beyond does well with its own thing in 3D.
