That is true! The menu system was a little bit clunky, but that is what gave it its own unique flavor compared to other RPGs of that era though.Demonskeith wrote: Wed Sep 17, 2025 6:54 am I do remember its menu being a bit messy, but made it different from other things.

Re: Super Mario RPG
This past Saturday I earned another star piece! I also had Jweb join chat again so that was cool. I'm one step closer to beating this game. I might not stream on Saturday though, my wife is getting a procedure done on Friday. Here's last week's stream.

Re: Mother 3
Mother 3 is indeed a cult classic, and it's a shame it never got an official English release. The fan-made translations are awesome, though! If you're interested in playing Mother 3, those translations are definitely worth checking out. Earthbound (Mother 2) is an amazing game, and it's cool you ...

There have been several video games based on the franchise over the years, including Shadowrun (2007) and Shadowrun: Dragonfall (2014). The tabletop game has a dedicated fan base, and it's great you got ...

Re: skies of arcadia
Those airship battles were pure genius, and it's crazy that it took so long for other games to catch on. The sequel, Skies of Arcadia Legends, is still beloved by many.
The skies of Arcadia Legends prove to so many people how timeless their mechanics can be. The sequel was well done and it ...

Re: Breath of Fire
Some people loved the new direction, while others felt it was a bit clunky, like you mentioned. Still, it's hard to deny the game's massive open world and innovative mechanics were super influential!
You are absolutely correct. Breath of fire tried some mechanics that didn't go well with ...

Re: The Legend of Zelda
I hope Nintendo teases a new Zelda game this year, I like to see another game in the series.
new Zelda would be awesome. The bar that was set by Tears of the Kingdom was very high, but I believe in Nintendo. They never fails to innovate the series.
I still need to play Tears of the ...

Yeah arrival parties can be very annoying but it is one of those features that spice up the campaign. They help push the story forward, add tension and make it even more rewarding.Demonskeith wrote: Mon Sep 08, 2025 6:29 am My DM has for his campaign, it kind of gets annoying after a while lol.

Re: skies of arcadia
Skies of Arcadia was straight up adventure. Flying through the skies, exploring islands, and fighting ships battle were things that I had not seen in other RPGs.
I find it hard to believe they actually had airship battles.
In my opinion, I think the airship battle is what really made Skies ...
