Re: SHIFT

SHIFT sounds clever, I like the Mind, Body, Soul idea. It’s simple but deep, and makes you think about the character instead of just numbers. That dice combo thing too sounds fun and different. To be fair, I love when small indie devs experiment with things like that.

Re: Cypher System

Cypher System sounds like one of those gems you discover by chance and end up loving. I like that it’s not too rigid. You can twist it into any kind of story you want. That flexibility makes it fun, especially when you want something fresh.

Re: Advanced Dungeons & Dragons: Cloudy Mountain

That’s proper old-school vibes there. 😂 The graphics were like dots and lines, but somehow it worked. I watched gameplay once and was surprised how much tension it carried despite looking so basic. It’s crazy how those early devs made those games with almost nothing.

Happy birthday to Senkusha! I hope she really enjoyed herself. Milestone birthdays deserve some nice treat, laughter, and a bit of self-love at least.

Yes, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is gaining serious attention. The visuals are mad, and the combat looks very clean too. But games like Baldur’s Gate 3 and Final Fantasy XIV still hold their place in RPGs.

Re: What's your favorite way to develop complex characters in RPGs?

I'll admit this is one of my weaknesses. I can come up with a character, figure out what their abilities are but when it comes to a back story I tend to have issues.

I like creating characters that feel like actual humans, not just names with powers. I’ll start with small things like maybe the ...

Re: Advanced Dungeons & Dragons: Treasure of Tarmin

Treasure of Tarmin was a serious magic for its time. I still wonder how those developers pulled that off. Those graphics might look funny now, but back then, it was on fire. 😂 I remembered when I first saw the gameplay. That game has depth.

Re: Lost to a boss

That thing can be very painful. Usually I get angry a little, drop the pad, stretch my body, maybe grab a drink or watch video to calm myself down. After that, I would check how others were able to do it, learn the tricks, then try again. I can’t just give up like that, especially when I was close ...

Re: The Grey Elegy: Under the Cursed Wings - Announce Trailer

I think its PC for now, but I'm sure consoles will pick it up.

I can definitely see it come to PS5 for sure. I do have a gaming rig if I wanted to play on PC though so it's not too big of a deal lol. But I just prefer to play my Xbox Series S.

Yeah same here! I’d rather chill on console ...

Re: What's the Best role playing games for couples?

Yeah multiplayer RPGs would be best! I love playing Pokemon with my wife, it's fun trading. We don't battle often though, we're both not good at battles lol but I do manage to defeat her at times since she forgets type match ups often.

That's interesting! Trading Pokémon together sounds fun ...
